1115 Waiver Application for GAP Submitted

October 16, 2014

Over the past weeks DMAS staff have been overwhelmed at the support of advocates, self-advocates, community partners, Magellan of Virginia and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Yesterday, our federal partners at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) received the 1115 GAP Waiver Application. They will take the next several days to review for completeness and will then formally accept the application, starting the 30 day public comment period. Once DMAS receives notice from CMS regarding the public comment period starting, thay will inform us.
