2024 Overtime Rule Formally Suspended

The Overtime Rule that garnered a lot of our attention several years ago and had been “vacated” by at least one US District Court has now been formally rescinded.  This was the rule that significantly increased the lower limit for salary for administrative employees to allow them to be exempt from overtime pay.  (To refresh your memory use the “Search News” feature for 2024 and search for “overtime.”)  

It remains important, however, that you continue to monitor closely to ensure that you are in compliance with the “duties” test and are able to confirm that those you consider exempt actually do qualify!
