A More Usable/Visual List of Budget Items

The link below will give you a slightly better version of the budget amendments – the “half sheets” were released yesterday! There are some items that we need to work on:
- The “Designated Support Staff” bill (HB2160) passed in the House and the budget amendment was included in their report – we have already started working on getting the House bill through the Senate with “the clause” which would condition final passage on the Senate adding the necessary funds when the Budget goes to Conference. So it is a two-pronged approach – we’ll let you know how to advocate!
- The effort to create a “center-based” respite service seems to have failed – there are some concerns about the rate setting process which will need to be addressed; at this point, we are still doing some research to determine what happened!
- And then there are the “appeared in one report and not in the other” items which need to be identified and the message to the Conference Committee on the Budget tailored appropriately.
