Along the Line of “Rumor and Innuendo”

Rumor has it that the budget conferees have finally come to some agreement – at least on the “tax reduction or rebate” part of the discussion.  One can assume that they now have a grip on how much money there is to appropriate both this year and going forward.   I am certain that committee staff have mapped out every possible combination of possibilities and are ready with figures to share with the conference committee.

Now that they have, apparently, agreed on the revenue part, they can look at the spending options (those are the ones we care about!).   The decision about the scheduling of the Special Session will likely be made next week.  The “Conference Report” will be available before  the Session convenes so we should have time to take a look.
