One more thing has been delayed . . . the announcement of the COLA increase for Social Security, which is based on the September CPI, was planned for October 15th and will now (purportedly) be on October 24th.    

The other important number (the minimum wage in Virginia) which is also based on the CPI – has already been published.  The revised minimum wage is $12.77 beginning January 1st.
