Thanks to Jack Wall, Wall Residences, for the up date that the biggest topic in the Wytheville hearing was the possible closure of Catawba Hospital. Approximately 1/2 of the comments were on that topic.
In anticipation of the DBHDS proposal to close Catawba Hosptial, the Board decided to add the following to our Legislative Agenda for 2016:
“Support the creation of viable communitybased services in a sustainable business model, which includes as appropriate level of revenue over cost to meet quality standards, in advance of any reduction in functional capacity of a DBHDS state facility.”
We attempted to weave in several concepts in one statement without making it too wordy!
