DD Waiver – Specific Services Only – DRAFT for Comment Released!

The DD Waiver Rates Study, which we discussed several months ago, has now been restricted by the General Assembly to those services that were specifically listed in the recently finalized DOJ Permanent Injunction:
- Community Coaching
- Community Engagement
- Community Guide
- Companion Care (Agency-directed & Consumer-directed)
- Congregate Nursing
- Independent Living (BI Waiver)
- In-Home Support Services
- Personal Assistance (Agency-directed & Consumer-directed)
- Private Duty Nursing
- Respite Care (Agency-directed & Consumer-directed)
- Skilled Nursing
- Therapeutic Consultation
- Workplace Assistance
Note: “Center-Based Respite”, such as that offered by only a few providers will also be reviewed separately!
Guidehouse (the contractor), DMAS and DBHDS are interested in your thoughts about the survey instrument. I have attached a DRAFT, PLEASE REVIEW IF YOU PROVIDE ONE OF THE SERVICES LISTED ABOVE! Provide you thoughts and questions to VADDRateStudy <vaddratestudy@guidehouse.com>, and copy me.
I have also included background information that was shared during our Advisory Workgroup Meeting this week. We have concerns about the format as it is still more complex than it may need to be and there is a lack of specific instruction that would produce consistency among respondents. But . . . they have asked for input and we should take the opportunity provided!
