dLCV Report on Preventing Deaths in a DD Setting

There has been some “press” about this report, so if you have not seen it – it is linked in this NewsPost.   There are a number of issues which are raised in the report and a number that we can anticipate coming as a reaction.   One of the suggestions is to conduct “regular emergency medical drills.”   This has been suggested by OL in the past and we would be interested to know:

• Are you doing the drills and in what settings?
• Do staff feel that they are effective and express more confidence in how to respond?
• Have there been issues or concerns?
• How have the individuals in the setting responded?
• Anything else you can share?
