DOL Proposed Changes to Requirements for Who Must Be Paid Overtime Are Released

July 06, 2015

The Federal Department of Labor has, today, released the proposed new rule for determining which employees are or are not elligible for OT pay if they work more than 40 hours in a week. The link above is to the Executive Summary and the brief description of the two prongs of the test – wages and duties — for exemption.  We know that based on wages alone, many more of our employees will be eligible for OT pay so we have grave concerns about the implications for this increased cost.  ANCOR will keep us posted and will submit comments on our behalf.
