Getting Ready for the Changes in Behavioral Health

Last week we emphasized the steps that need to be taken to be ready for the changes that will occur on July 1st for substance use services and to be able to provide the new ACT service.  The Office of Licensing has worked hard to streamline the service modification process and to make the transition as seamless as possible.

Yesterday, we received a request from Jae Benz, Director of OL, to remind all of our members that they are holding regular training sessions on the steps needed in addition to publishing the material earlier this month.

• Memo re the Service Modifcation process for ASAM Levels of Care & ACT, MH-IOP and MH-PHP
• Modified Service Modification Form
• Policy and Procedure Attestation Form

The most common error in the submission of the modification requests seems to be the failure to indicate which license are being ended and which are being requested.  Licensing can not process incomplete requests, so all of the boxes need to be checked and all of the required attachments need to be included!
