The Rose Garden Ceremony to celebrate the passage of the AHCA (the replacement for the current health care bill) in the House was, apparently, premature. The bill has not been released from the House, they are waiting for the Congressional Budget Office to score the bill and ensure that it meets the savings requirements to allow it to get through the Senate with a simple majority.
We did attend the Virginia Joint Sub-Committee for HHR Oversight this week and were slightly encouraged that the ranking members of our House and Senate Money Committees seem to be very concerned about the cuts which will be made at the federal level to Medicaid if any version of the AHCA passes.
