Member Benefits
The VNPP membership year is from July to June. Current memberships will expire June 30, 2027. Memberships received after April 1st will “roll over” to the following Membership Year for an extended membership period!
VNPP uses regular email updates to Members to provide up-to-the-minute information that is important for providers. In addition, Members are:
- Invited to participate in bi-monthly Member’s Calls, focusing on current and up-to-date information relevant to providers and with invited guests who have important news to share
- Eligible for reduced registration fees for the Fall Conference, an important place for interactions with State Agency Officials, networking with other providers, meeting vendors of products for agencies like yours, and learning new skills for advocacy and communication. And,
- Organizational Members are encouraged to sign up key staff to receive email alerts and attend Member Calls.
VNPP develops a Legislative Action Agenda each year and has a registered lobbyist who monitors activity in the Virginia General Assembly and speaks on issues of importance to private providers:
- Issues of human service funding and legislation that may affect small business are regularly tracked and reported to the membership during the session.
- Interests and concerns of its members on a wide variety of subjects are discussed at meetings of committees and commissions convened either by the Executive or Legislative Branch of state government. And,
- VNPP is a State Association member of ANCOR, and sits as a partner with the VACSB Public Policy Committee.
VNPP has an Association affiliation with SESCO, a well known group with a specific expertise in labor and employment law; by paying a retainer fee VNPP guarantees:
- The SESCO professional staff is “on call” daily to assist VNPP members on a priority basis.
- For $300.00 per review, the SESCO staff, upon request, will review and analyze member employee handbooks or personnel policies to ensure that they are contemporary and also comply with the latest federal and state employment regulations. And
- As requested, SESCO will be available to conduct one (1) seminar per year at a VNPP sponsored event.
VNPP has recently added to our list of benefits for the Organizational Members (who are providers of DD Waiver Services) access to the just released online training for the DD Waiver Orientation Curriculum at no cost to the members! This training package meets all the requirements of Medicaid Regulations and can be accessed by newly hired DSPs to complete during their initial orientation process eliminating one component of what, to date, has been “classroom instruction.” This will allow staff, normally required to provide the training, time for other duties and more meaningful interactions with new DSPs!
Organizational Members can enroll their organization by sending the following information to admin@vnppinc,org:
- Name of Organization
- Name and Contact information for the CEO/Executive Director
- Name and contact information for the designated Teacher(s)
- Estimate of the number of DSPs new hires in FY27 (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027)
VNPP is a State Association member of ANCOR, and sits as a partner with the VACSB Public Policy Committee.
