They will also be notified of new information posted on News Posts via the “Notify” system of email communication. VNPP uses regular email updates to provide up-to-the-minute information that is important for providers.

In addition, members are:

  • Invited to participate in bi-monthly Members Calls, focusing on current and up-to-date information relevant to providers.
  • Eligible to receive a subscription to OPEN MINDS, including access to all OPEN MINDS content and databases.
  • Eligible for reduced registration fees for the Fall Conference.

Behavioral Health Providers take note!  VNPP has formed a new on-line discussions group (MARS) focused on issues encountered with MCOs for authorizations, billing, etc.

VNPP develops a Legislative Action Agenda each year and has a registered lobbyist who monitors activity in the Virginia General Assembly and speaks on issues of importance to private providers. Issues of human service funding and legislation that may affect small business are regularly tracked and reported to the membership during the session.

VNPP represents the interests and concerns of its members at a wide variety of meetings, committees and commissions. These gatherings are convened either by the Executive or Legislative Branch of state government or by one of the other organizations representing public providers or advocacy groups.

VNPP is a State Association member of ANCOR, Healthcare for All Virginians Coalition and sits as a partner with the VACSB Public Policy Committee.
