More MES!

We had the opportunity to listen to a short webinar yesterday about the MES system rollout and requirements – here is the MES Homepage which will give you access to all of the materials DMAS has published to date!
First and foremost –
If you are a provider with an active primary account holder but you missed the deadline for making updates, you can use a self-service only process to make your updates. You must make these updates by 5 p.m. March 7, 2022. Detailed instructions are available at the top right of the Virginia Medicaid Portal.
Providers who miss this second deadline for making updates must complete a registration form that will be available starting March 21, 2022, on the Provider Forms Search on the new provider portal on the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) website. We strongly encourage providers to take immediate action using this fast and easy process to avoid delays in your access to the new provider portal.
Second, the key element of the requirement to utilize a taxonomy code on all claims filed/submitted after 25 March regardless of the dates of service is still a bit muddled in the instructions at the top of the list of codes posted recently; these lists are in the process of being updated and with that small exception are correct! The list for DD Waiver Services is on our Provider Quicklinks page.
