The VCU Partnership has released their report on the data trends for selected indicators from the Adult In-Person Survey Results. The data reflects results for Virginia from 2015, 2016 & 2017 and compares the Virginia results to the National results from 2016. The report is available
here.
There are few surprises and one is, perhaps, surprised at the amazing consistency of the data across the time span. The focus continues to be on employment; and the concern is the difference of 16% between those who want to work and those who have an employment goal in their plan; while the National data show that 39% have an employment goal in their plan (and in Virginia it is 35%) the difference between “want to work” and “have a goal” is only 6% on the National level.
