Approximately 50 individuals, including family members, gathered this afternoon in a forum to express their concerns on a variety of topics related to the implementation of the three DD Waivers; we were privileged to be invited and pleased that we could update on the General Assembly Session, educate broadly on “How Did We Get Here” and how the pieces fit together, and listen!
We came back with a long list of very specific issues – some easily solved and some that we will need to work on over the next year. The group consisted of both VNPP members, non-members and family members – all with legitimate issues, worries and concerns. Kudos to the organizers for taking the time and initiative to organize the meeting. We hope there are more!
