Quality Improvement – At So Many Levels!

Recognizing that providers are struggling to stay a step ahead of the repetitious demands from the Office of Licensing for updates to their Quality Improvement and/or Risk Management plans before they can be fully implemented, it is additionally frustrating to hear this morning the multiple surveys, questionnaires, efforts at engagement, etc that are the result of the DBHDS Quality Improvement efforts through their committee or the Regional Quality Councils.While data collection is generally a valid activity, multiple attempts to obtain data from providers through surveys or questionnaires while providers are also being the subject of QSR, HCBS, OL and PERM audits adds to the burden!
