Redesign Draft Open for Comment

“The Right Help. Right Now, DMAS Behavioral Health Redesign plan is currently in the implementation phase for the next nine months.  Over the next 4-8 weeks, our DRAFT policies for the services that will be replacing our old CMHRS services (Intensive In-Home, Therapeutic Day Treatment, Mental Health Skill Building and Psychosocial Rehabilitation) will be posted for “informal” public comment.  A formal public comment period will occur in Spring 2026.  We want to receive feedback as early in the process as possible, which is why we are posting a draft now.

 

The first service to be posted is Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) – Home/Community, which will replace IIHS and MHSS.  The posting on Town Hall can be found here: https://townhall.virginia.gov/L/ViewNotice.cfm?gnid=3219 and closes at 11:59pm on 09/21/25.”
