Regional Meetings for Nurses Working in ID/DD Community Programs

November 21, 2014

Dr Dawn Adams, Director of Health Services DBHDS/DDS has started a series of informal meeting for nurses who work in community programs.  We have discovered in the past several years that when Taining Center Nursing Staff try to develop protocols, training, or other procedures for practitioners in the community they sometimes take a very “institutional” approach.  Dr Adams, Susan Rudolph (from Insight) and others have started this series of meetings to bring the community nurses together to share information and ideas!  The next meet & greet will be here in Richmond on December 11th at 2 pm at the Arc of Virginia Office.

It is nice to have a champion!
