Repost/ReDo from earlier this morning!

If you billed at the higher, FY 27 adjusted rates for DD Waiver Services, for all services provided, beginning July 1st your payments should have already been adjusted correctly and you can stop reading now!

If, however, you billed any portion of July at the lower, FY 26 rates, and are now trying to adjust payment for those claims, or void the claims to re-bill, you are likely running into problems.

You can not void the original claim (it has already been “voided”) – use the 21 August remittance advice and adjust the amount (use adjustment code 1030) paid; the remittance advice should show one line with the amount retracted and a second line with an amount paid.  Adjust the claim on the second line using code 1030 – you do not need to void the original claim.

And, next time, remember to use the higher rate (as your usual and customary rate!) as soon as the rates are approved!
