The
Virginia Landlord-Tenant Act (Section 55-248.2 et sec) is important for purposes of determining the requirements of a lease agreement for those subject to the HCBS Settings requirements. Recently, in response to a question, we discovered that the section of this Act which
may have exempted Sponsored Residential services (Section 55-248.5) was repealed effective July 2017. The Act does still provide clear information about what is required in a lease/agreement and or related documents.
