We received this afternoon a
memo from DBHDS (dated 25 October) that extends the “Grace Period” for certain actions which have not been able to be completed in WaMS because of the many issue and failures of the system. While the request that we made to DMAS to extend the authorizations for H2022 which are slated to end 10/31 to ensure that at least those payments could continue will apparently be denied, the extension mentioned above will at least acknowledges that there are significant issues.
We are still waiting for the promised instructions for how to solve some, if not all, of the WaMS issues and we know that there will be a tendency now for DBHDS staff to feel that there is less pressure to get issues resolved in a timely fashion.
